Hot to create Artwork for Screen Printing
The best way to get your artwork to us is as an attachment via email saving the artwok logo as is was created in
PROGRAMS ORIGINAL FORMAT. DO NOT CONVERT OR FLATTEN IMAGE.
We can open most digital file formats (pdf, jpg, tif, eps, psd,cdr). We prefer all art be converted to vector format in order for the sharpest print edges and ease of creating required over printing. You will need an program such as Adobe Illistrator or Corel Draw. Files should be at least 300 dpi (no compressed web .jpg or .gif files) at 100% size that you want printed. Please include center and corner registation marks. We can also work with a clean hard copy of the artwork as in images to be scanned . For shirts where there is mainly text you can send a Word document or similar, please do not convert your file to an image. When sending text please include a font file with you image. Color or black and white photographs will need to be converted by our artists. Be aware internet objects are not even close to being screen print ready, they have a low dpi .
Screen Printing Artwork instruction and tips:
When printing on dark shirts may require a base print to make the design stand out on the shirt.
Thin lines may not contrast on dark colors consider wide lines on dark colors.
When different colors touch an over print must be created.
Shading must be achieved with gradient patterns and halftones.
The shirt color will affect the inks appearance.
Most front prints are sized less than 10.5 in
Most back prints are less than 11.5 in
Image sizing should consider all size T shirts during design.
Most customers art is not print ready and will need assistance. Monster Press Screen Printing offers one on one design and graphics. Our designer create shirts daily for all types of customers. We will listen to your ideas and needs, then graphically design your garment. Logo work and design will be fun with our assistance, available. ($40/hr) pro-rated per half hr. Generally this service will be a very good investment toward your best final product
